Your mortgage has always been serviced in the UK and this will continue now the branch has closed. If you need to speak to us regarding your mortgage, please call our UK helpline on 00 44 330 100 3375 if calling from Gibraltar or overseas, or on 0345 300 2511 (calls charged at local rates) if you're ringing from the UK.
Lines are open from 9am to 9pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 6pm Saturday (Gibraltar Central European Time) and 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm Saturday UK time.
Unfortunately, we will no longer be able to increase your mortgage, change your mortgage product or give permission to let an existing residential owner-occupied property.
Changing the repayment type or extending the term of your mortgage will also not be possible unless there are exceptional circumstances (e.g. if you are having difficulty paying your mortgage - in which case please talk to us).
A name may be removed from your mortgage in some circumstances providing the person remaining on the mortgage meets our residential lending policy (e.g. in the case of a separation between named parties). However, no new names can be added onto a mortgage.
Your mortgage interest rate will revert to the Standard Variable Rate (SVR) at the end of the fixed or discounted period. Your mortgage will stay on the SVR interest rate until your mortgage term ends or you redeem your mortgage.
If you have a Base Rate Tracker mortgage, your interest rate continues until the end of the mortgage term (subject to any changes in the base rate).
Your mortgage has always been administered in the UK and this will continue. Please contact the UK helpline if you are thinking of redeeming. Please note, when your mortgage is redeemed you will no longer retain membership and voting rights, unless you hold a share account with membership rights or a mortgage with another one of the YBS Group brands.
We are no longer offering mortgages in Gibraltar so no new applications can be accepted.
If you are thinking about moving your N&P mortgage product to a different property, please contact us so we can discuss your circumstances. Please note that an existing mortgage product can only be ported to the same value, no additional borrowing would be available.
The closure of the Gibraltar branch should not affect you remortgaging to a new mortgage provider. Your mortgage has always been administered in the UK and this will continue. Your new mortgage provider will contact us in the UK (which has always been the case) to complete a remortgage for you.
