TELL US WHO'S DRIVING YOUR CAR
Insuring your car so anyone can drive it can be a waste of your money. If you can name everyone who's going to be driving your car, your premiums could be reduced.
If nobody under 25 years of age is going to be taking the wheel, you could save even more.
You could be offered a reduced premium if more than one person is insured on a single vehicle.
THE LESS YOU DRIVE, THE MORE YOU SAVE
If you drive less than 8,000 miles a year, you're more likely to get a discount on your insurance.
KEEP SAFE, PAY LESS
Put your car in your garage overnight, and some insurers will provide a discount on your insurance.
Even off-road parking could get you some reduction in your premium.
You'll pay less to cover your car if it has a good security system or tracker device installed.
Most insurers will give you a discount for each year of claims-free driving. This is known as a no-claims bonus.
PASS PLUS MEANS REDUCED PAYMENTS
If you're under 25 and have just passed your driving test, think about taking the 'Pass Plus' exam. Pass this, and your first year's premium could be a lot less.
