Foreign Money Services
Our Business Gold Current Account offers many of the features you'd expect from a business account. As well as 24 hour access through our Internet Banking service, you'll be entitled to receive free debit card transactions whilst abroad.
Our Business Gold account holders receive free overseas debit card transactions abroad. Using your card abroad will be just like using it in the UK, you'll no longer have to pay cash withdrawal charges, retail transaction charges or handling fees. Please note an overseas ATM or retailer may add their own charge. You would be told about this at the time of transaction.
Save time looking around for the lowest exchange rates, you won't need to pay any commission on foreign currency or travellers cheques.
Takes away the hassle of carrying large sums of foreign currency around.
You won't have to worry about running out of money when you're overseas. Just go to any cash machine displaying the VISA/PLUS symbol, as you would at home.
We do not pay interest on Business Gold Current Account Balances.
Our Business Gold Current Account has a monthly Account Service Charge of £3. Details of accounts that are exempt from this charge are available on request (e.g. some Charities, Clubs and Associations).
Approved Overdraft facilities are not available on Business Gold Current Accounts. If you use your Business Gold Current Account to make payments when you do not have enough money in your account you will be charged.
Interest Rate Gross % (EAR** % variable)
We will charge you interest on the amount by which you are overdrawn. You will be charged at our unapproved rate.
**EAR stands for Equivalent Annual Rate and does not take into account any additional charges (e.g. arrangement fees/security charges/monthly charges) which may be applicable. We will charge you interest on the whole of the overdrawn balance for each full day your account is overdrawn.
Unpaid Item In
If someone makes a payment to your account which is refused for any reason (e.g. they have insufficient funds in their account) you will be charged.
£4 per item
Unpaid Item Out
If you do not have enough cleared money in your account, we may refuse to pay cheques, direct debits, standing orders or bill payments.
£29.50 per item
Paid item charge
If you guarantee a cheque or use your VISA debit card and do not have enough cleared money in your account and we pay the item.
£23 per item
These charges are debited to your account for each transaction or payment and will be applied to your account on the day the transaction is presented for payment.
Transaction charges will be debited from the Account each month, normally on the last Working Day of each month. Other charges will be debited from the Account as they are incurred.
